The purine nucleoside phosphorylase N07 is of bacterial origin and thermostable up to 80°C. Purine nucleoside phosphorylases catalyze the reversible phosphorolytic breakdown of the N-glycosidic bond of (deoxy)ribonucleosides, with the formation of the corresponding free purine base and pentose-1-phosphate.
PNP, PNPase, Pu-NPase, PUNP, NP, adenosine phosphorylase, inosine-guanosine phosphorylase, purine-nucleoside:phosphate ribosyltransferase
(1) purine ribonucleoside + phosphate = purine + α-D-ribose 1-phosphate
(2) purine 2'-deoxyribonucleoside + phosphate = purine + 2-deoxy-α-D-ribose 1-phosphate
Recombinant from E. coli, purified by heat treatment and His6-Tag affinity chromatography. Produced and sold for research purposes and in vitro use only.
Thermostable up to (at least) 80°C
