Polyphosphate kinase PPK01

The polyphosphate kinase PPK01 corresponds to the Escherichia coli PPK1. Polyphosphate kinases of the PPK1 family catalyze the formation of polyphosphate from ATP. By utilizing the reverse reaction PPK01 can be used as ATP regeneration system in kinase reactions. The order of substrate specificity is ADP > GDP > UDP, CDP.
