Polyphosphate kinase PPK04

The polyphosphate kinase PPK04 is a bacterial PPK2 (class III) enzyme and thermostable up to 50°C. Polyphosphate kinases of the PPK2 (class III) family preferentially catalyze polyphosphate-driven phosphorylation (utilization of polyphosphate) of both nucleoside monophosphates and nucleoside diphosphates and can thus subtitute NMPKs and NDPKs or be used as ATP regeneration system in kinase reactions. Hyperphosphorylation of nucleotides beyond three phosphate groups may occur.
