Thymidine kinase NK02

Thermostable enzyme of bacterial origin. Phosphorylates thymidine and its derivatives to the respective NMPs using ATP as phosphate donor. Deoxycytidine, deoxyguanosine, deoxyinosine, uridine and deoxyuridine can also act as acceptor, dGTP can act as a donor. The quasi-irreversible transfer of phosphate from the high energy donor to the nucleoside enables high NMP yields.
