Adenylate kinase NMPK23

The adenylate kinase NMPK23 corresponds to the human gene AK9. It catalyzes the phosphorylation of AMP, dAMP, CMP and dCMP with ATP as phosphate donor and of AMP and CMP with GTP as phosphate donor. Next to its function as nucleoside monophosphate kinase it also exhibits nucleoside diphosphate kinase activities on the substrates (d)CDP, UDP, (d)ADP, (d)GDP and dTTP with either ATP or GTP as phosphate donor.
